Travis Elementary is a school in the Houston
Independent School District dedicated to promoting and nurturing the whole child.
Travis is located in the historic Woodland Heights just three
miles northwest of downtown. The school's gifted and talented program (Magnet/Vanguard) is provided for
students identified in intellectual ability,
creativity, or leadership. This challenging and differentiated curriculum is designed to
meet the needs of these students.
The school's physical facility provides a multi-faceted learning environment which uses
technology, community resources, the fine arts and nature to take learning beyond the
classroom walls into the world around us.
